About
Breaking Bread

Every story has rhyme, reason, and room to grow.

Breaking Bread is a promise that no young person has to walk alone.

This is a movement built on trust, community, and creative healing. We create spaces where young people feel heard, valued, and supported. Through shared meals, real conversations, mentorship, and art, we help youth rewrite their story.

Our programs are designed for youth navigating tough systems—whether it’s school, the streets, or the justice system. By pairing restorative practices with meals, mentorship, and expression we help youth reconnect with themselves and their community.

We believe healing happens in the community. We show up with open arms, open ears, and with real resources.

What We Believe

Youth
Voice First

We don’t speak over youth, we listen, amplify, and follow their lead.

Authentic Connection

Trust is earned. We show up consistently, listen deeply, and keep it real.

Restorative Practices

We don’t punish—we heal. Accountability happens through reflection and repair.

Creativity as Catalyst

Beats, brushstrokes, and bars, we use art as a gateway to growth and transformation.

Community Collaboration

We build bridges with schools, organizations, jails, churches, artists, and anyone who shows up for youth.

Our Mission

To disrupt cycles of harm by engaging youth through restorative dialogue, mentorship, and creative expression.

Our Vision

A world where young people are consistently met with resources, relationships, and restorative practices that support their potential.

Our Secret Sauce

We believe healing happens over meals and honest conversations.
We lead with love, not lectures.
We bring tools that help youth tell their story and change their future.

Whether you’re looking for support, want to give back, or just want a place to belong—pull up a chair. There’s always room at the table.

They’ve Lived It. They’ll Tell You

“I used to think nobody cared. Then I started coming to Breaking Bread… now I know I’ve got a voice—and a crew that’s got my back.”

Tariq, 17

“I’m not here to fix anyone. I’m here to walk beside them. And that changes everything.”
